HYBRID LESSONS

PROFESSIONAL ENGLISH WITH A HYBRID SOLUTION

In the hybrid lessons – just like in the traditional lessons, – you can also develop the Professional English language and communication skills that are necessary for any professional work today. But half of the time, you will have special “self-study” lessons designed specifically for independent work. So, every week you will have only 1 lesson with the teacher, and 1 “self-study” lesson. Don’t worry! The self-study lesson is designed in a way that it smoothes into the lesson with the teacher, and you will actually benefit from taking that part alone. You can develop your autonomy faster and your new skills can become competent earlier. And a plus is that the fee of a self-study lessons is 50% lower!

In the hybrid lessons, you can also choose what kind of Professional English you want to learn. Professional English may be divided into at least 3 types:

You need business English if your job is related to running a business: corporate jobs, office jobs, government positions, supply chain, logistics, finance, insurance, marketing, sales, customer service, HR, leadership, management, retail and small business management, etc.

You need English for Specific Purposes (ESP) if you are a specialized professional and work in the field of medicine, law, engineering, in technical jobs, in IT, quality, health and safety, agriculture, tourism, industry-specific areas, vocations, social sciences, humarities, creative art, etc.

You need Scientific English if you want to learn the linguistic style used for scientific and academic work: scientific and academic writing and presentation, research, scientific publications, scientific conferences, academic studies, academic teaching, consulting, critical thinking, discussion, referencing, etc.

You may need only one of the above, or all of them. For example, if you are a leader in business management, you will need Business English for your everyday work. If you work for a pharmaceutical company, and want to understand the work of R&D at the company, you will need some ESP, pharmaceutical field. If you want to get a PhD in business management, you will need Scientific English, too. At English on the Job, you can prepare for all three.

“ON-THE-JOB” METHOD

The lessons in this solution are also like “on the job” trainings. Every task and exercise in both lesson types will recreate the situations and tasks that you will need to do in English at work. You will face the same challenges in the lesson as during the performance of your job, and so you can fully prepare for it and learn the specific skills that you need in your job. You will not learn anything unnecessary, so you save a lot of time, energy and money compared to other courses.

We do this through individual learning materials tailored specifically to your language skills, and your everyday work tasks. In a unique way on the market, I also learn about your profession and role at the necessary level, so I can prepare individual learning materials exclusively for you in this context, flexibly responding to your needs. This is not a traditional English lesson, but rather a working relationship. My specialization in Human Resources and extensive work experience in corporate and small business, help me recreate real-life work environments and role-specific tasks, so I can simulate real-life work situations for a number of jobs.

You can use your new English skills at work extremely quickly and efficiently, regardless of your language level. With this method, I have been teaching professionals in both the scientific and business field for 10 years, from managers to employees, from clinicians to researchers and professionals who are changing jobs.

HYBRID LEARNING

Lessons

No coursebook is going to be bought, because there is no coursebook that perfectly meets your professional communication needs! I will prepare it for you as we go, according to what you need.
You will have access to this special coursebook, the lessons in your own learning platform in Microsoft Teams, where we will hold our meetings, too. We both will have real-time access to the lessons, we will both edit the lessons and work very flexibly.

VOCABULARY

Your vocabulary building will be very special. There is a real-time word-bank that we both access, and a smart phone app to practise this vocabulary in various exercises wherever you are.

DIGITAL EXERCISES

We use innovative digital exercises to make learning more effective, more fun and a better feeling for you.

CHALLENGES

I often surprise my learners with extra challenges and activities that will make learning even more interesting and help boost learning.

TERMS

WORKING HOURS

A minimum of 2 lessons per week is recommended. One with the teacher and one without.
To keep the hybrid learning up, it is advised that you do the self-study lessons on time.
Appointments are available during working hours. After hours appointments are subject to availability and capacity.

PRICING

You can have the hybrid lessons at a hybrid price:

Traditional lesson with the teacher: 10.000 Ft / 60 minutes
Self-Study lesson: 5000 Ft / week
(Average lesson fee: 7500 Ft)
